NEW DELHI: Gurugram police have filed a case against gangster Anmol Bishnoi, who is the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, for allegedly threatening Bhim Sena chief Satpal Tanwar from abroad.
Anmol Bishnoi is accused of making threatening calls to Satpal Tanwar from the US and Canada, using phone numbers from Zimbabwe and Kenya.
Following Tanwar’s complaint, a police team including members of STF, crime units, and cyber crime units has been formed to investigate the matter. Efforts are being made to bring Anmol Bishnoi to India.
Tanwar received several threatening calls from Anmol Bishnoi on October 30. According to the complaint, the calls lasted a total of 6 minutes and 41 seconds and were answered by Tanwar’s female secretary.
The police filed the case at Sector 37 Police Station on Saturday under relevant sections.
Anmol Bishnoi is believed to be hiding in the US and has a Rs 10 lakh reward on his capture, announced by the National Investigation Agency.
